Cookies and browser storage
Updated October 3, 2026 · Version 2026-10-03
What is stored
Supabase authentication cookies maintain and refresh your signed-in session. Browser local storage holds your theme, reading preferences, onboarding completion, optional interests and per-trail map viewport. Session storage holds temporary question drafts, pasted-text drafts and an optional, consented study recording. This is browser storage as well as cookies.
Your choices
The app does not load advertising, marketing or cross-site analytics trackers. It therefore has no optional tracking-cookie acceptance banner in the current beta. You can use the public sample without signing in. Preferences are under your control, and study recording has a separate, unchecked opt-in. Blocking browser storage may affect sign-in and saved local settings.
Removing stored data
Sign out to end this browser’s session. Use Clear local data on the account page to remove RabbitHole preferences, viewports, drafts and study recordings, or remove this site’s data through your browser. Deleting local data does not delete saved account content; use account deletion for that. Any future optional tracking must be reviewed and gated before it starts.
